D. Majestic and the Spectral Band's latest offering is an unusual spin on a Christmas classic: an electronic, noisy post-punk take on Wham's "Last Christmas." Released on the Ingenii Records imprint, the track melds fuzzed-out bass, crunchy distorted guitars, and processed drums into a lush, enveloping, abrasive soundscape. Airy glockenspiel floats above the fray, while audio samples of an unhinged preacher railing against the satanic nature of Christmas provide the experimental textures The Spectral Band is known for.
